On April 8, 2025, organized by the Propaganda Department of the Yangxin County Committee, five foreign friends, including Kim Youjin from South Korea, Nari from France, and Mengyao from Russia, were invited to Liu Guliang Folk Village to personally experience the unique charm of the Guci Yangge and Shehuo performances.

The Guci Yangge has a long history and, after years of development, has become a brilliant gem of local folk culture. During major festivals, villagers dress in colorful attire, holding fans and handkerchiefs, and dance the Yangge to the lively sounds of drums and gongs, creating a magnificent scene. The Shehuo performance is a grand culmination of traditional skills. During major holidays, villagers carefully prepare with various unique costumes and exciting acrobatic performances, offering grand displays to pray for happiness and good health.

On the day of the event, Liu Guliang Village was full of excitement, resembling a joyful sea. The Yangge team made the first appearance, with the villagers’ synchronized movements and enthusiastic smiles instantly igniting the atmosphere. The foreign friends were deeply attracted by this lively scene and eagerly joined in to learn. With the villagers’ patient guidance, the foreign friends learned the basic steps and moves of the Yangge. Their awkward but earnest expressions brought laughter from everyone. To the cheerful beat of the drums, they coordinated with the villagers, gradually becoming more skilled and fluent, and together, they completed a wonderful Yangge performance.

Kim Youjin from South Korea excitedly said, "This is so much fun! Dancing the Yangge with the villagers, I felt a strong sense of unity and a joyful atmosphere, and I gained a deeper understanding of the charm of Chinese culture." The following Shehuo performance further elevated the atmosphere. Dragon and lion dances, as well as stilt performances, drew gasps of amazement from the foreign friends, with camera shutters clicking nonstop.

This event not only allowed the foreign friends to experience the unique charm of China’s traditional Guci Yangge and Shehuo culture but also bridged the gap between Chinese and foreign friends, further promoting deep cultural exchange and integration between China and the world.
